Preparation for First Session
Please be sure to download and print the workbook, which is in session one, under the heading “Supporting Documents”. You will also find a PDF copy of the our book, Positive Discipline in the Montessori Classroom. Please read the Introduction through Chapter 2 in preparation for our first session.
Homework During the Course
After each session, you will have a short reading assignment, as well as some activities for you to do with your students (observations, case studies, practice with tools, etc.). Homework assignments are very manageable, and will be posted in each session on this learning platform.
Attendance and Participation
This course is experiential and depends on the active participation of participants in the activities and discussions. With that in mind, participants are asked to attend the sessions, live. If you are not able to attend a session, video recordings of the session will be posted within 48 hours of each session. This is an interactive course, and we ask that you keep your video on during the classes, as we will be using breakout sessions throughout each session.
At the end of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion for the course indicating 16-course- hours.
To obtain your certificate, you will need to complete all 8 sessions of the workshop and complete a course evaluation. The course evaluation will be done during the last session of the workshop.
I look forward to working with you! Please let us know if you have any questions! Feel free to email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
