Welcome to Positive Discipline in the Montessori Classroom Deep Dive – Elementary and Adolescent Class Meetings. This online interactive training, based on the book, Positive Discipline in the Montessori Classroom, by Jane Nelsen and me, will help participants learn how to implement effective Class Meetings that help develop mutual respect, cooperation, responsibility, empathy, and independence.
Classes will be held online via Zoom.

Learning Platform
The learning platform is the online classroom and is accessed by logging onto my website www.chipodelorenzo.com. After each session, I will post a video recording of the most recent session. Handouts and other resources will also be posted from week to week on the platform, as appropriate, as well as the homework to be completed after each session.

Homework During the Course
After each session, you will have a short reading assignment, as well as some activities for you to do with your students (observations, case studies, practice with tools, etc.). Homework assignments are very manageable, and will be posted in each session on this learning platform.
Participation
This course is experiential and depends on the active participation of participants in the activities and discussions. With that in mind, participants are asked to attend the sessions, live. If you are not able to attend a session, video recordings of the session will be posted within 48 hours of each session. This is an interactive course, and we ask that you keep your video on during the classes, as we will be using breakout sessions throughout each session.
Certificate
At the end of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion for the course indicating 6-course- hours.
To obtain your certificate, you will need to complete all 3 sessions of the workshop and complete a course evaluation. The course evaluation will be done during the last session of the workshop.
