This webinar is based on the book, Positive Discipline in the Montessori Classroom, by Jane Nelsen and Chip DeLorenzo and Positive Discipline by Jane Nelsen.  Together we will discover some time-tested methods of working with children that reflect our deepest values as Montessori educators: mutual respect, cooperation, responsibility, empathy, and independence. 

Montessori parents, teachers and school leaders will discover:

• The elements of effective discipline;

• Why children misbehave;

• The importance of developing clear and consistent practices amongst adults to meet behavioral challenges respectfully and effectively;

• How to empower children to be respectful, cooperative, and responsible members of their families and classroom communities;
